GROUND:ED offers high quality educational packages that help participants harness their creativity, build awareness and self-confidence, and discover a deeper sense of presence. We equip students to navigate the challenges of transitional stages in their lives, empowering them with a set of skills they can rely on whenever they need. Our research-informed programmes combine mindfulness, meditation and grounding techniques to promote self-awareness and personal development.

What we offer

  • Workshops exploring how self-awareness can unlock our innate potential.
  • Work centred around the fight or flight reflex and how this can be harnessed for good.
  • Discussions around the benefits of living mindfully: feeling grounded in the present moment and enhancing ‘stage presence’ (wherever your stage may be).
  • Work on self-confidence through singing: exercises which explore breathing, posture and alignment as well as how to project your voice in speaking and singing.
  • A range of creative activities such as singing, art and writing to encourage self-reflection and future planning.
  • Empowering participants to develop a tool-kit for confidence and resilience.

How we work

  • Our standard course design is four modules spread across the academic year. For each module we offer a core workshop (half day or full day) plus small group follow-up sessions and/or individual mentoring (digital or in person).
  • Additional online resources can be tailored to meet the needs of the group, allowing students to engage with material remotely, build skills throughout the year and in high-pressure moments where face-to-face input may not be possible.

The core workshops

These core workshops can fit into the academic year as follows:

  • Autumn - New Year Starter Pack

Introduction to mindfulness & grounding skills, harnessing fight or flight reflex & self-awareness.

  • Winter - Promoting performance

Exploring self-awareness & confidence, playing to our strengths in revision, interview preparation including presence (how to command a room).

  • Spring - Exam preparation

Mindfulness & grounding techniques for combatting exam stress and enhancing performance.

  •  Summer - Summer Sessions

Creatively unlocking your potential & finding your future.

Preparing for the upcoming year.

What else to consider

  • Workshops can be structured to suit the needs of any group. They can be for small groups (6-10) or larger groups (max 20), from a half-day to a full day. Minimum booking one full day.
  • Each core workshop can also feature as a stand-alone session. We would work with you to curate a bespoke programme. Minimum booking one full day.
  • Smaller groups are better suited to in-depth reflection & discussion.
  • We recommend allowing as much time as possible for each session. Half or full days allow for deeper exploration and encourage participants to benefit fully from the deep listening and creative intuition exercises.
  • Suitable for all year groups, but particularly those considering subject or career options, university applications, preparing for exams and school leavers.
  • We can also support your counselling and pastoral team in any other way, for example in developing a programme for mental health week or equivalent.
  • We are also keen to work with teachers, management and facilitators, to allow them the space and time to develop these skills, ground themselves and re-connect with their own creativity as they prepare for an upcoming term. This could be done in school or as a retreat. Let us know if this would be of interest to you and your team.
